MEAT

Lavish eyelashes
Swindling swine
Your gold in Switzerland
Yes, that was mine

Garage of greed
I’m going to burn
Stinking spirit soup
I’m going to churn

I opened the shell and saw that it’s lost
Great glimmering white pearl of the orient
I look at the land and blood it has cost
Even neighbouring friends are saddened

Bitch, you impeach
But it doesn’t make sense
When you elect mayor
Mother fucking ex-president

Welcome to the gates of hell
Have your share of the drama
Sucked the country’s wishing well
Now, I’m waiting for your karma

Here’s a word: imeldific
And it’s not just about shoes
Chopped my legs, it’s specific
You handed me the noose

Diabolical machinations
You’ve led me to this
Some naked ambitions
Shocking avarice

How many more pounds of flesh shall you take?
Stuffing all that pig’s guts in that barrel
The vicious cycle of killing and stealing
Clothing empty souls with grand apparel

So I present you desires so carnal
It’s easy, given your piggy appetite
While you feast on this corporeal carnival
To your pie hole, I’ll stuff dynamite

Of course what will follow
Gory shower of bliss
I can finally give back
What was hers, what was his

Immoral intestines
Splattered on the floor
And then our eyes meet
As I wear my pinafore

Now I couldn’t care
I’m just gonna eat
My overdue share
Of your fresh, rotting meat

I wrote this poem as a reaction to the widespread corruption that has crippled the once Great Pearl of the Orient Seas, The Philippines. There has been a recent uproar because of the government's mishandling of  'pork barrel' or monetary funds. Not many Filipinos care about the country because leaders themselves are very dishonest for so long already; some even migrate to another country after taking there 'piece of the pork.' Nonetheless, The Philippines, like America, is keen with freedom of speech. I encourage all my countrymen to do their best to express and inspire people to put a stop to graft and corruption.
